Census 101: Why Your Participation in the 2020 Census Matters
National Census Day is April 1, 2020. An accurate count of the number of people living in Palm Beach County is vitally important to the county's future. You should receive an invitation by mail to your address in mid-March to complete the census by responding online, by mail or by phone. Please be sure you are counted in this year’s census by April 1.
Public Invited to Free Art Reception at PBIA’s Airport Art Gallery
Palm Beach International Airport and Palm Beach County Art in Public Places invite you to the inaugural exhibition “Artfully Discovering the Palm Beaches” on Thursday, February 20, from 5:30-7 p.m.  Meet featured artists, mix, mingle and enjoy extraordinary art, live music by Jazz on J Street, and lite bites.
Palm Beach County Has Updated FEMA Flood Maps
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Palm Beach County are hosting Flood Risk Open Houses in West Palm Beach to help you learn about the newly updated flood maps. Community officials and FEMA representatives will be on hand to answer citizens' questions about the maps, the mapping process and flood insurance.

23rd Annual A4AFL-PBC West Festival February 20
More than 200 youngsters from western Palm Beach County will come to the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center at the Palm Beach State College Glades Campus on Thursday, February 20, to participate in the 23rd Annual A4AFL-PBC West Festival “ART Superheroes.” The festival is sponsored by Arts4All Florida - Palm Beach County and will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m.
“Feb-ulous” Fun at Okeeheelee Nature Center
Okeeheelee Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located in Okeeheelee Park at 7715 Forest Hill Boulevard, west of West Palm Beach. All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated.  Programs now require payment at the time of registration/reservation. You can register and pay online at​.​ Please select “Online Services,” choose “Register/Pay for Program” from the drop-down menu, click the “Nature” icon, and then search for the program by name. You must login or create a new household account before registering.
Fantastic February at Daggerwing Nature Center
Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park at 11435 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton. All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please register online at; under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a participation form at the start of each program.
There’s a Lot to Like at Riverbend Park
Riverbend Park is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located at 9060 Indiantown Road, Jupiter. For more information on Riverbend Park, visit All programs are by reservation only. Please visit to make program reservations. Under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program. Login with your username and password. New users must create a household account online, (follow online instructions under “Login”). For every program, participants/guardians are required to sign a participation form. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Save the Date for Parks & Rec Summer Camp Lottery Registration
Lottery applications will be accepted at West Boynton Recreation Center beginning at 9 a.m. on February 18 through 5 p.m. on February 29. Parents will be contacted about lottery outcomes by March 9.
PBIA Announces Allegiant Service to Memphis
Allegiant Travel will offer new nonstop, twice weekly service to Memphis International Airport (MEM) from Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) beginning May 21.
United Way Announces 17th Year of Taxes Filed Free Campaign
The United Way of Palm Beach County's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is once again offering free and safe income tax preparation throughout Palm Beach County to those with a 2019 household income of $66,000 or less. The official program start date is January 21.

Students Help Increase Native Tree Canopy in John Prince Park
On January 18, the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and National Garden Clubs, Inc., Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. (FFGC) District X, and Plant America with Trees, together with more than 70 student volunteers from Latinos in Action, planted 27 native trees in John Prince Park in celebration of Florida Arbor Day.
