FAIRTREE BUILDS DISTRIBUTION TEAM
Fairtree Capital has been strengthening its distribution team and growing a national footprint to focus on the wider retail market through two further appointments in November 2016.
Anne-Marie Gous joined in November to focus on the development and support of intermediary relationships in the Western and Northen Cape. Gous was previously at Glacier by Sanlam for six years where she focused on business development. She has 12 years' industry experience with a BBA in Marketing Management.
Ryan Jamieson joined on November 30, having spent 15 years at Mometum where he had executive responsibility for investment product distribution to financial advisers and specialist wealth managers. He has a BCom from Unisa and 20 years' industry experience. Jamieson is heading up Faritree's retail distribution business in Gauteng and KZN. Read more

Macroeconomic factors such as interest rates, currencies and economic growth can have a significant influence on the profitability of a company over the medium term. As companies in the same industry often have a comparable exposure to these economic variables, the equity returns of these companies have a tendency to move in a similar pattern. A sector rotation strategy proposes that an investor can generate a return above that of the market by taking advantage of the fact that specific industries will outperform others depending on the current and future stages of the economic cycle.
