Developing Workplace Learning: Toolkit for trade unions

A European Union funded project supporting workplace learning in the manufacturing, metal, chemical sectors and beyond has produced ‘Developing Workplace Learning’, a toolkit for trade unions.  Using a six-step approach the toolkit provides a series of ideas, suggestions and templates to support trade union representatives in their discussions and negotiations with employers.

It follows joint union work across six countries over the last year – Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain and the UK.  A version of the toolkit is available in the language of each country.

Take learning to the next level with
The Open University

Recognising the importance of prior study, The Open University enables people who have studied elsewhere to ‘cash-in’ on what they have already learnt by putting it towards a new qualification.

Those who may not have completed their education at another university, or who has done equivalent, university-level study, including HNDs, HNCs and many professional qualifications may be eligible for this opportunity.

It allows them to save time and money and potentially change their life by achieving a qualification they may have thought was beyond their reach.
