Festival of Social Science 2016

The call is now open for applications to participate in the Festival of Social Science 2016. Applicants can request up to £1000 towards the cost of running an event.

The call closes on 13 May. For updates follow #esrcfestival on Twitter.

Media training

For researchers who have findings they are ready to share with the wider world, ESRC media training provides a practical day of interview coaching, together with tips and advice to build confidence when engaging with the media.

Sessions are free to attend for ESRC-funded researchers, with new dates around the country being added regularly. The next training dates are:
  • 28 April, London
  • 10 May, London
  • 16 June, Manchester

The Centre for Global Higher Educations was launched on 2-3 February. It is the largest research centre in the world specifically focused on higher education and its future development.

If you write code as part of your research, then you can get help to improve it - free of charge - through the Software Sustainability Institute's Open Call for Projects.

The call closes on 29 April.

Research Methods Festival

The 7th Research Methods Festival is being held at Bath University on 5-7 July.

UK Energy Research Centre Research Fund

The UK Energy Research Centre is issuing the second call for proposals under its £3.3 million Research Fund.

Expressions of interest should be submitted by 17.00 on 19 April and the deadline for full applications is 6 June.
