EHH is contacting you following the request we received from the Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission.
In a Communication adopted on 17 March, the European Commission charted the way ahead for a balanced policy and common EU approach to a gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions when the epidemiological situation will allow. The Communication states that "the Commission will use existing cooperation structures and networks to exchange information on the safe re-opening of the cultural sector. In order to better coordinate Member States' measures for the safe resumption of activities in the cultural and creative sector, the Commission will develop guidelines for sectors in the field of music (festivals, venues), audiovisual (film festivals and markets, cinemas, production sets), performing arts (festivals, venues), exhibition spaces such as museums or galleries, libraries, and cultural heritage sites".
Therefore, in response to this statement, the European Commission is currently collecting guidelines from different cultural sectors to map existing guidelines on reopening in the cultural heritage sector. As it is important for our sector to be included in this policy work, EHH will be grateful if you can provide us with guidelines for reopening developed by/for historic houses in your country.
Thank you in advance for your help,
