Datapalooza!

Join us at Datapalooza, a showcase of the data-driven research, resources, services, and outreach at the University of Virginia. (Registration requested.)

Presented by the Data Science Institute with co-sponsorship from the offices of the Vice President for Research and the Vice President for Information Technology, Datapalooza provides an opportunity to highlight exciting projects across Grounds, facilitate collaboration on projects and techniques, and expose students, faculty, and staff to other researchers as well as resources that further data-driven research across all domains. This event is free and open to members of the community, and those in industry and government who wish to engage with the UVA data community.

Research Software Updates

The Library, in collaboration with ITS, offers a comprehensive collection of site-licensed research software to UVA members. Most of these offerings are free, and can be downloaded and installed on your computers. The comprehensive list of all software is on UVA Software. Research Data Services offers installation and licensing support on the titles on our Research Software Support page.


We are excited to now offer SolidWorks Education Version. SolidWorks is a solid modeling computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) computer program that runs on Windows.
