The University of Virginia Library would like to invite you to participate in GIS Day 2015 on November 18th. There will be a round of lightning talks starting at 1:30 PM in the Scholars’ Lab (Alderman Library), followed by the traditional cutting of the GIS Day cake.
What's a lightning talk? A rapid-fire succession of speakers are given a set amount of time to present a limited number of slides. This year, each speaker will have 10 minutes to present a maximum of 15 slides.
We are actively looking for GIS enthusiasts to give their lightening talk! If you want to present at GIS Day, please email Chris Gist at cgist@virginia.edu. Or just come come to enjoy the session and the GIS Day cake, and see what we've concocted for this years’ confections. Previous years’ cakes are documented here:

We will wrap up the event by 3:30 PM.
