Meet Your Social Science Research Librarian!

Christine Slaughter is UVA’s Social Science Research Librarian. She joined the Library in February and is the liaison to Politics, Psychology, and Sociology. Her work at the Library involves supporting students and faculty in navigating Library resources and the broader research landscape. She is also a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at Yale and is excited to talk to you about any of the finer points of a social science research project or theoretical and methodological issues. She has a particular interest and expertise in qualitative and interpretive analysis. Christine can be found on the Intermediate floor of Brown Science & Engineering Library in Clark Hall, room i-053. Email her at
Outside of work, Christine enjoys reading and her cat, as any librarian worth her salt would. She spends her time singing opera, learning to play the clarinet, and sharing memes on social media.
