Statlab Walk-In Statistical Consulting
The UVA StatLab is offering walk-in statistical consulting hours this fall. Drop by for free help with study design, statistics, data wrangling, or visualization.
The StatLab office is in the Brown Science and Engineering Library in Clark Hall. Go into Clark, though the Mural Room, into the library, and take a right at the circulation desk. The office can be found in the west wing reading room, second door on the right, room 153.
UVA Library now offers Gallup Panel survey data tracking American attitudes on topics related to COVID-19. The surveys were conducted with the nationally representative Gallup Panel in the US. The survey covers March 2020 - August 2021. Contact email@example.com for more information on how to access the dataset.
Python Users Group
RDS hosted a Python Charlottesville (PyCHO) python users meetup in Brown Science and Engineering Library earlier this month. This was the first that PyCHO had hosted in person since before the pandemic. Attendees were invited to speak about any Python related project they are currently working on for school, work, or just for fun. Presentations were given on topics ranging from web development, programmable microcontrollers, marketing, and Python performance built-ins. Depending on the COVID situation, Research Data Services hopes to host more in-person meetups in the future!
We're back and better than ever! Due to COVID-19, we are hosting online and in-person cafes. Join us for a productive, drop-in, working environment among peers. For our in-person cafes, we’ll provide FREE coffee and snacks to help you get your work done. Staff from the UVA Library and UVA Writing Center will also be available for consultations. This series, co-sponsored by the UVA Library and UVA Writing Center, is designed for graduate and professional students, postdocs, faculty, and staff. Registration is required, register online here. Our next cafe will be online on Thursday September 30th, 1-3pm ET.
