Datapalooza 2019!

Datapalooza, the School of Data Science's annual fall event, is just around the corner -- Friday, November 1, and registration is now open!. There will be some great panels on the intersection of data and data science with education, democracy, climate, cybersecurity, social science, humanities, business, health, and more! Maybe we'll see you there!

China Statistics
Our trial of the EPS China Statistics database is going on now!  EPS China Statistics includes 71 databases of China statistical and census data, covering various subjects, industries, fields and all regions of China.   Topics include: Macro Economy, Financial Market, Industry Operation, Regional Economy, Trade and Foreign Economy, Resources and Environment, Humanities and Social Sciences, and County and City Data.  (Note that the download functionality is not available during the trial.)  The trial of EPS China Statistics lasts to November 30, 2019. Please contact with any and all feedback. Help the library decide if we should subscribe!

Graduate Research and Writing Cafe

Need a quiet place to work on your thesis, dissertation, or other scholarly project? The UVA Libraries and UVA Writing Center are hosting Research & Writing Cafés. We provide FREE coffee, snacks, and a quiet environment to research and write amongst other graduate students, professional students, or postdocs who are committed to their academic and professional writing. Staff from the UVA Libraries and UVA Writing Center will also be available on-site for consultations. The next cafe is Wednesday October 23 10am-1pm in Ruffner Hall 302 Registration is not required, but appreciated.
