Our records show that your current Development 1 CERTIFIED qualification is set to expire on August 31st, 2020. In order to make the process of requalification as easy as possible and keep you actively coaching, please review the options below to keep your qualification active.
Before you identify your options for requalification, please review your qualifications in your two hockey profiles:
If you have been registered in hockey previously as a Player, Coach, Official, or Trainer you can access your profile on the Hockey Canada Registry by establishing an e-Hockey account. Click on the following document to set up access.
The Locker is the Coaching Association of Canada’s online database. Access provides all coaches with the opportunity to track their progress and guide their development.
Coaches can create a log-in and access their Profile and Transcript online where they can view/update personal information, coaching records and access printable transcripts.
Certification Maintenance & Professional Development points will be tracked on the Coach’s Transcript in ‘The Locker’ and will update the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) Profile when ‘Certified’ status is renewed
Process for Re-Certification:
1) Complete the Making Ethical Decisions – Online Evaluation module through the CAC Locker. This document provides direction to access the MED – Online Evaluation.
Require additional Professional Development (PD) Points?
Did you know that you can self-report active coaching and self-directed learning? Certified coaches are eligible to receive 1 PD point per year of active coaching and up to 3 PD points per maintenance cycle for coaches that report self-directed learning. Click on “Self-Report” under the “Certification” tab in your Locker profile.
Once you have updated your qualification, please check your profiles to confirm status. If status is not accurately reflected in either profile, please contact Michael Dundas at the OMHA office to ensure your profile is up to date.
