A Dance Card Deadline,
Torbay Summer Flash-mobs, Open Class and Preview Performance with State Of Emergency

A word from our Director Sue
It’s been a busy month here as we begin to concentrate on evaluating the projects we have worked on over the last 18 months. Our arts wave devon collaboration with DAISI, Devon Guild of Craftsmen and Wolf and Water Arts Company has now ended. I know many of you have worked with us on our Pop Up, Light the Touch Paper and Deep Impact projects over the last three years. Thank you for your input and we can all be very proud that the project has reached over 14 thousand participants, delivered 941 sessions and employed 90 artists over its 3 years. Phew! I’ll share some of the evaluation with you once it’s ready to disseminate. I’m also hard at work planning and fundraising for the autumn and beyond and will share more with you soon.

It has been a joy to have State of Emergency in residence here at Dartington making their new work. The energy of creation filters through the building and it just feels good to see the studio full of dancers again. Do not miss the opportunity to see the preview of the work on Friday 1 July in Studio 31 at 2pm. Click here for more info and to book a place.

We are saying goodbye to Charlotte, our Creative Intern who has been working hard for us here in the office and supporting our community projects and to Kate, our fab administrator, who is jetting off for an adventure in New Zealand. Farewell also to Rosie, who has done a fine job covering Lizzy’s maternity leave. THANK YOU so much for all your hard work and the very best of luck with your next projects.  A very warm welcome to Martha who will join us as Admin Intern next month.

I will be in Torrington at The Plough Arts Centre on 8 July to see INSPIRE! and will be there from around midday if any wants to come and catch up with me in person.

DANNI is going on holiday until September but we will still be posting info and opportunities through FB, Twitter and our website.
