We've created a new class format to make taking classes easier, more convenient and better focused.
Musical Instrament Class - wortheffort
Many new woodworkers are just looking for a taste of woodworking that doesn't cost a lot in the form of time, commitment or money. So we've created a series of 12 classes just for you. You can start at any time, skip classes as needed, repeat classes if desired, or just pace yourself on your own schedule. There's no contract, deposit or commitment yet you still get a quality education in this hobby.

Additionally, if you go thru all 12 classes you'll get a really good foundation of woodworking. This will include:
  • Knowledge and experience with American hard & soft woods
  • Knowledge and experience with a range of woodworking tools required in cabinet making and joinery
  • An understanding of what defines a quality tool
  • An understanding of what makes quality furniture that'll last generations.

1st Friday's

Free Events: Introducing as many people as possible to woodworking, is a major aspect of 'wortheffort'. We will always have some kind of free monthly event happening on the 1st Friday of each month such as: Date Night, Woodshop Night, or a Charity Event.

Teen Classes

Education to reinforce academia: Our afternoon classes go much farther than simple woodworking lessons. Coming from 7 years of High School teaching I firmly plan on using this fun, engaging activity to reinforce academia in biology, science, math, social studies and even history.

Help Spread the Word!

October will be our 3rd month open! Please help by spreading the word to your family & friends.  We are about halfway to breaking even and every person who learns about this unique school gets us closer to breaking even. Your help is greatly appreciated,

An Evening w/t Schwarz

Christopher Schwarz
will be hosting a free evening talk on Nov. 2nd. This is one of the only chances to meet the personable "Schwarz", in TX. Who knows what'll happen afterwards at this college party town.

Coming in October:

School Pen Drive: Just in time for the holiday season wortheffort is going to do a Texas Hill Country Pen Drive thru KICKSTARTER. This fundraiser is to acquire lathe stations so that we can begin offering turning classes for teens and adults. Every 45 pens sold will purchase 1 lathe. The pens will be made from locally harvested, native Texas trees and flowers including Mesquite, Pecan, Oak and... BLUEBONNETS! We'll send out a newsletter to announce the launch in October.
