Our Last Shot at Re-Opening

Crowd-funding at IndieGOGO, please help spread the word.

More people and more course options is the only way wortheffort is going to be able to become self-sufficient and continue offering the family friendly education and entertainment people have enjoyed this past year. To get there we need to raise at least $9,000 to relocate to Austin, TX.

These past few months we've been trying to go the traditional business loan path to raise those funds. Unfortunately that hasn't worked out. Seems we're just too small. So we are going to try crowd-funding the relocation via indieGoGo. We're offering some fantastic rewards for contributions.

The perks are all made here at wortheffort by either me or my father. Everything from toys, tools, bowls, and art. The only way this campaign will succeed is if people know about it so please tell your friends, family, and pets.

So please take 5 and browse our campaign, watch the videos, view the gallery, contemplate the perks, and perhaps if you see the value of the school, consider joining the cause.

This is our last shot. The school is closing at the end of June. We've found a great place in North Austin and have a back up spot selected where we can reopen. But before we can sign the lease we need the seed money to pay the rent, renovate, and physically move. Without it we'll need to find some way to store the school until I can save up another 20-30k to try again.

DON'T FORGET, The Renaissance Woodworker & Hand Tool School instructor, (Shannon Rogers) is leading a free talk this Saturday (4-14-14 7:00pm) It's BYOB'everage and to thank Shannon think about bringing a Texas Style Dessert to share.

Also Remember we have several heavy duty workbenches for sale. There has been lots of interest in them just no deposits yet. Every one we sell lowers the amount we need to reopening in Austin. So if you know of someone in need of a fantastic bench....
