What's Growing on at the Arboretum?
The pumpkin patch at the Arboretum is open! Pick out your favorite pumpkins, squash, and gourds provided by Becks Wapsie Fresh Produce. Your purchase helps support the Arboretum and there are lots of good looking options for your carving, eating, or decorating needs.

Winter Hours
Reminder that starting Nov. 1st, the Arboretum will be open from 9-5 Mon-Friday & will be closed on Saturday & Sunday. These hours may change depending on weather but staff can always be reached via email if you have questions or need assistance. You can also send us a message on Facebook and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
2020 Rentals
Looking for a place to hold your wedding, graduation celebration, birthday party or more? The Arboretum might be the perfect fit!  2019 has been a jam packed year of celebrations and 2020 rentals are starting to fill up. September 13th- October 31st
Scarecrow Vignettes
Scarecrows have made their way to the Arboretum! Walk through the gardens and see scarecrows in a variety of fun scenes and get inspiration for a scarecrow of your own. This event is free with regular admission: $5 for adults (ages 18+), $2 for children (ages 5-17), Ages 4 and under and members are free.
Gnome Going Away Party- October 22nd, 5:00-6:30
Help us say goodbye to our gnome friends as they get ready to on adventures during the winter months. Join us for cake, ice cream, crafts, and one last story with Bob the gnome. Pre-registration is required. Limit of 30 children. One parent or guardian per child should plan to attend. This event is free with regular admission costs though a $2 donation per-child attendee is suggested but not required to assist with food costs. Please RSVP by calling or emailing the office.
Hartman Reserve See & Feel- October 25th 5:30-6:30
Join Hartman Reserve naturalist Katie as she shares information about different animals found in Iowa. Visitors will have the opportunity to see and feel a variety of furs and hides. Free with admission to the gardens. $5 for adults (ages 18+) $2 for children (ages 5-17) Children 4 & Under are Free.
Fall Clearance Sale
October 30th-31st
Stop by the Arboretum for our first ever clearance sale in the gift shop. Prices will be discounted on a variety of items, including wine. This is the perfect chance to stock up on gifts for the upcoming holiday season. Gift memberships will also be available for purchase and able to be taken home that night. Sale ends on Oct. 31st or once all discounted merchandise has been sold.
Halloween Treats
October 31st, 2019
Stop by the Arboretum in your Halloween costume, enjoy a walk around the Arboretum or play in the children’s garden and receive a special treat at the end of your visit.
