The View
January 2019
Things have slowed down at the Arb now that we've started 2019. Rob and Beth have been busy writing grants, meeting with volunteers to plan fun events, scheduling interesting classes and are working on some very interesting new projects for the season.

We can't wait to share the full events calendar with you in the coming months. This year will include a series of new storytime readers, fun new fundraisers and date nights, as well as special interest events like wellness classes taught by Tracy Grandy, a gnome night out, and much more. Keep checking our Facebook page, website, and these newsletters for more info as we get closer to the start of the season!

Thank you!
A huge thank you to everyone who gave to our end of the year appeal! Your donations are one of the many things that allow us to continue growing and we are so thankful for your support! Didn't get a chance to donate or forgot to send in your donation before the new year? That's okay!  You can donate all year round on our website, in person or by sending your payment in the mail.
Reciprocal memberships are a great way to have winter fun!
Did you know that there are 6 other botanic gardens in Iowa that are a part of the American Horticultural Society's Reciprocal Admissions program?

These gardens are a great place to visit on a day trip or a quick road trip for a weekend off. Learn more about the over 320+ gardens you can visit with a reciprocal admission from the Cedar Valley Arboretum here.
Tracking Wildlife: Can you identify this wild animal by their track?
Check out one of the tracks we found at the Arboretum and see if you can recognize what animal friend paid us a visit after the last snowstorm!

Not sure or you want to know what animals might have visited your yard? Check out this neat article about common wildlife tracks by the Iowa DNR!
Join us on yet another blast to the past as Pauls takes us on a brief visit to the Arboretum 2006.
