Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Laura Hickenboth, owner of Premier Beauty Bar, moved to Oklahoma City in 2010 after accepting a new full-time educator position with Sexy Hair Concepts that included international travel. After touring much of Oklahoma, Hickenboth decided to start a high-quality, client-focused salon in Edmond.

With elite Stylists, Makeup Artists and Spray Tan Specialists, Premier can meet head-to-toe beauty needs for everyday and special occasions. The salon has 10 chairs filled with more than 60 years combined experience as stylists, makeup artists, spray tan specialists, eye lash extension technician, hair extension specialists and more.

Premier is extremely involved in the community and does work with many charities, including the annual Caring is Sexy Cut-A-Thon, Care Center Gala, Purple Sash Gala, education programs and opportunities for Edmond North High School, Wine and Howl, Central Oklahoma Humane Society and several groups associated with the Edmond Women's Club. The salon also just began a sponsorship with Higher Level Modeling Agency.

In the future, Hickenboth sees Premier branching out to additional locations, involved in numerous community outreaches and serving as a beacon for the beauty industry.
