Newsflash: April 2014

Dear colleagues,

Last month, we were in Boston where I had the chance to meet with many of our partners and we had a lively update meeting, including speakers from Chilean salmon producer AquaChile and North American retailer Loblaw.

The ASC certification programme is progressing at a pace! Since our launch of ASC certified salmon in February, we now have five certified salmon farms and certified salmon already available in Europe, Japan and North America.

And, I look forward to shrimp farms entering the programme now that we have the finalised ASC Shrimp Standard, and await our first certified trout and bivalve farms which have now entered assessment.

Enjoy this month’s update and I look forward to seeing many of you in Brussels. Please visit our booth, 2053 hall 7.
