Newsflash: January 2014

Dear colleagues

ASC started 2014 by marking an important milestone  this month we congratulated the first ASC certified salmon farm, Villa Arctic AS Jarfjord Farm in Norway.

Also, last month, the Rio 2016 Organising Committee announced its commitment to prioritise local ASC and MSC certified seafood at the 2016 Rio Games.

So, as we move into 2014, I look forward to seeing many farms across the state of Rio entering the ASC programme. And, look forward to more salmon farms achieving ASC certification in the near future.

In the meantime, I wish you all a successful year ahead and hope to see many of you in Bremen at Fish International next month. Please do come and have a chat with us at booth 5 E-58.

Chris Ninnes, Chief Executive Officer ASC
