CMAG Logo Contest

At the May board meeting, board members agreed that it was time to have a new logo for the guild. The current logo has been in use for some time, and since we are working on building a new website, now is a great time to refresh our look. As we have a few creative people among our numbers, we thought we would look to our membership for some help in this project.

All members are welcome to submit up to three logo designs for this contest. The winner will receive a free membership for the next year.

In developing a logo, the board would like people to consider the following guidelines:
  • The logo should include reference to the Guild's location in Portland, Oregon
  • The logo should make it easy to understand that CMAG is affiliated with metal arts
  • The letters should be identifiable - board members mentioned that the current logo often gets misinterpreted as, "MAG".
Entries should be sent to Leslie Zemenek at
by July 8, 2013 (the July Meeting Date). The board will decide on finalists and present them to the rest of the membership after that date.
