  • an organization that is searching for and implementing new ways to serve the field of lifelong learning for ministry.

ALLLM has become a "Related Learning Organization" with the Religious Education Association, so ALLLM members are entitled to join the REA at the lowest membership fee levels. For 2020 these are:

  • $40 for retirees and students
  • $80 for individual ALLLM members

Tell your Story. Share What You're Doing at Your Site


ALLLM Conferences are an opportunity to learn from each other. There's exciting continuing education programming happening everywhere. Bring your own brochures. Share what you're doing in your own location, and network with colleagues from across the Continent and around the world who are eager to learn about your work and share their own.
 
There will be a table near the registration desk for you to put a stack of brochures or program handouts.
 

ALLLM events at the Toronto Conference

 
  • Where Help and Harm Collide: Responding to the Opiate Crises in Toronto -- October 31  5:30pm
    Paulos Gebreyesus of the Regent Park Community Health Centre and Dr. Allison Falby of All Saints Anglican Church will share how the opiate crisis is having an impact on the work of their institutions, and help us reflect on the ethics of harm reduction and safe-injection sites.
     
  • Faith in Action: For the Common Good -- November 1, 11:15 am
    Using the opening session, “Where Help and Harm Collide: Responding to the Opiate Crisis in Toronto” as a case study, this workshop invites participants to explore how post-degree professional development and learning can support and encourage ministry leaders of faith communities to lead theologically and practically within their contexts. Attendance at the opening session not required.
     
  • Educating Congregations, Twenty-five Years Later -- November 1 2:30 pm
    Dr. Helen Blier, Director of Continuing Education, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Pittsburgh, PA
    How do we, as faith communities, confront the realities of suffering, social transition, and ideologies and structures that do not promote the flourishing of all?
     
  • The Promises and Challenges of Independent Centers for Lifelong Learning for Ministry -- November 2 11:15 am
    Dr. Joshua H. Lunde-Whitler, Executive Director, Walker Center for Ecumenical Exchange, Newton MA
    Consider ways that independent centers and institutions can serve as incubatory spaces which promote lifelong praxis for the common good
     
  • ALLLM Visioning Session and Annual Meeting -- November 2  12:30 ET (online at 1pm ET)
    We've invited Helen Blier to help us begin to identify the variety of institutions and organizations currently offering continuing education to clergy and church leaders, so that we can better provide support and advocacy for this important work. She'll begin with a 90 minute visioning exercise in our working lunch, and share more specifics of her plans for this important project.
