Calgary Learns supports its member organizations to provide foundational learning opportunities for adult Calgarians with financial barriers. Foundational learning refers to the basic skills and competencies adults require in order to participate fully in life. These skills include the ability to participate as neighbours and citizens, have satisfying employment and to pursue further learning. Funding is made possible through the support of Alberta Innovation & Advanced Education. October 1, 2014 is the proposal deadline for 2015 programs (to run January to December 2015).
