Royal Visit to Ayrshire Community Garden.

Netherthird Community Garden warmly welcomed The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay to a special opening on the 9th September. The garden, the brainchild of Margaret Campbell, was set up in 2010 and is helping to transform the lives of many local residents. Despite the constant rain, crowds turned out the see the royal couple and visitors enjoyed wonderful teas. A brief piece from our Chairman, David Mitchell, who wishes you all well. He hopes you have had a successful summer, opening and visiting gardens, and that you have survived the rigours of the weather. May your Autumn gardens be full of colour and a bountiful harvest!
Mr Lowry, our faithful canine visitor, is looking forward to his Autumn walks and he will be recounting his tales in our next newsletter.
Swing for Joy - we've got lots of great ideas for children's activities! 
Looking for ways to inspire kids in the garden? Whether you're a garden opener or a garden visitor here are some fun ideas we're sharing with our volunteers to get the kids into the garden. 
Take full advantage of the Autumn colours by visiting some of our gardens open this October:
 
Hollytree Lodge, Dollar: open by arrangement until the 31st October.
Dundonnell House, Little Loch Broom: open Monday- Friday by arrangement until the 31st October.
Ardwell House Gardens, Ardwell: open until the 31st October, 10.00 - 5.00pm.

Portrack, The Garden of Cosmic Speculation
