Five actions YOU can take TODAY to support the Second Amendment in Minnesota!
For several years, I was a resident of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I had moved there for work after living in Indiana, a state that greatly valued the Second Amendment. Massachusetts had other ideas. 
At the time, I was not long out of college and funds were limited. I owned nothing more than a single Glock 19 pistol.
Knowing that I needed a state permit to even possess a handgun, I went to my local police department to complete the paperwork and receive my permit.
I was then told that my local chief did not sign any permits - and the officer at the desk hoped that I had left the gun behind in Indiana. "Why?", I asked.
"Well, then you'd be committing a felony and I would have to arrest you, " he said.
This was in 1998. Massachusetts has since enacted even more stringent gun control measures.
It's a cautionary tale, but it will be our future in Minnesota if we do not remain vigilant in protecting our constitutional rights as gun owners.
So what can I do?
Here are five actions that YOU can take - in less than five minutes - that will help protect the Second Amendment in Minnesota. Can you take five minutes to do them RIGHT NOW?
- First, send this newsletter to your friends and encourage them to sign up.
The more gun owners and supporters that see our updates, the better informed they will be as voters - and the more power we can command at the polls.
If you're a member at a gun club or any other organization - we'd be happy to share our message with your members at a meeting or via e-mail / newsletter. Contact us and we'll talk about how best to accomplish this.

- Third, sign up as a volunteer with the MN Gun Owners PAC
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. They staff our booths, respond to our e-mails, update our Facebook & Twitter accounts, phone bank for donations and on behalf of candidates, and help us grow as an organization. All skills are needed and useful! Signup today!
- Fourth, sign up to receive text message alerts from us.

We owe it to ourselves and the following generations to ensure that the Second Amendment is protected here in Minnesota. Take some time to do these five things TODAY!
