Join us at our Fundraiser on Monday, March 24th!

We'll be holding a fundraiser for the MN Gun Owners Political Action Committee on Monday, March 24th, from 6:00 - 8:00pm, at Little Havana Tobacco in Anoka, MN.

It's a great chance to meet like-minded Second Amendment supporters, enjoy a cigar or just some great company, and listen to a few updates on the legislative session and upcoming elections.

You'll get a fresh update on the legislature from GOCRA Vice President - Government Relations Rob Doar, including the most recent actions in the MN Senate.

PAC Chairman Mark Okern will talk about our upcoming campaign plans, and I'll give a brief fundraising update.

We're working on finalizing one other great speaker as well.

You won't want to miss this!

Interested?  -  It's not too late to signup.  Can't make it, but still want to donate?  Use this link.

We're asking for a $30 minimum donation to attend.  You can always donate more if you like!  All proceeds directly support our efforts.

We'll have more events in the future. Many of you have asked us to hold events in non-smoking locations, and we'll certainly be setting those up as well.

Thanks for your ongoing support!

Bryan Strawser

P.S.   I hope that you can join us in Anoka on Monday night, even if only for 30 minutes.  It's a great opportunity to meet and spend time socially with a great group of like-minded citizens.  If you're not able to attend, please donate what you can to support our campaign efforts this fall!
Yes! I want to join the fundraising event in Anoka on Monday, March 24th!

Chairman's Corner:   Groundhog Day

I’m guessing that many of you have seen the movie “Groundhog Day”, in which Bill Murray finds himself repeating the same day and events over and over and over.
In other words, welcome to the Minnesota Legislature in the hands of the gun grabbers.
Just as we predicted, the first real threat to gun rights in 2014 showed up in the Senate Judiciary committee.  It was a bill written, and driven by Michael Bloomberg's organization Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Although on the surface it appeared to be a simple bill preventing domestic violence, when you analyzed the legal language it created a scenario where a law-abiding Minnesotan could be forced to surrender his or her firearms to law enforcement or to a FFL holder on the mere accusations and prejudices of others.
The bill passed the MN Senate Judiciary Committee last night close to midnight.
I’m not surprised, because the anti-rights zealots control our entire state government.

They control the agenda, they control the votes. But they don’t control us.
It seems that we are stuck in our own version of Groundhog Day, doomed to repeat the same events and same threats to our rights year after year after year.

I’m sick of it…and I know you’re sick of it too.
In other non-surprising news, Al Franken is throwing his financial hat into the fight to keep pro-gun candidate Stewart Mills from being elected to the United States House of Representatives.

How is he doing it?  By using a SuperPAC to raise millions to support anti-gun Rick Nolan.

While we certainly encourage all of our supporters to help Stewart in his fight, at least his campaign has the financial ability to fight back. Unfortunately, many of our allies at the state level do not.

That’s where we can help, but we need your support in order to help fund their campaign battles.
We’re holding our first fundraiser for MNGOPAC this coming Monday, and I would love to see Little Havana packed with pro-gun Minnesotans, talking about our Second Amendment rights and enjoying cigars.

Can you join us and help us break the yearly cycle of watching our rights being threatened?

Keep watching our Facebook page and Twitter feed, and visit our website at for updates.
Yours in liberty,

Mark Okern

P.S.  As the fight in the MN Senate this week has shown, the gun grabbers will stop at nothing to get their way in Minnesota.  Help us get them out of office in November by contributing what you can, TODAY!
