Income Inequality in Canada
Driving Forces, Outcomes and Policy
Research shows that rising income inequality can give way to populist and protectionist movements and result in political uncertainty. Brexit and the results of the US election are clear manifestations of these dynamics at play. And Canada is not immune. Income Inequality: The Canadian Story examines inequality trends and outcomes in Canada over the past three decades, and sets out an ambitious policy agenda to deal with the problem.
As we celebrate the anniversary of it's publication we are pleased to make available online an overview of the main findings of the book and the editors’ conclusions.
