“The Recovery of Hudson Valley Bald Eagles” Tom Lake, Hudson Valley Native, archaeologist, naturalist and editor NYSDEC Hudson River Almanac.

Books For Babies

The Friends of Rosendale library create and distribute Books for Babies kits that we hand out to families with infants.  We also distribute these to our local doctor's office for them to give to new or expecting parents.  The kit includes information about our Rosendale Library Storyhour, library hours, a brand new board book and other pamphlets about Early Childhood Education and reading to your young child.  We recently received a letter from Suzanne Tremper, director of the Mid-Hudson Early Childhood Direction Center, "It is a wonderful, integrated community project and I am grateful to you for including our information as an additional resource to the new parents."
Your donations to the Friends help support this worthy effort.

Food For Fines a Success!

This September the Rosendale Library's Food for Fines program was a great success.  Many patrons came in with non-perishable goods for the Rosendale Food Pantry and had their library fines forgiven.  We have a a donation box for the Rosendale Food Pantry here in the copier room all year.  Here you may donate non-perishable food items, personal care items and diapers.
The Rosendale Food Pantry is open on Mondays from 9-1 and Saturdays from 10-1.  It is located at 45 James Street.  Volunteers are always needed, call Carol Baisley at 845-658-3437.
