Frozendale Fun

Thank You!!

Everyone enjoyed our Frozendale celebration this year.  We had a great crowd of children for Miss Annie’s Holiday Stories for Children.  They made beautiful poinsettia flowers after the stories.
Our generous bakers from the Woodcrest Community donated delicious cookies for the day. All day long old friends and new stopped by to have a cookie and shop.
Congratulations to our Raffle Basket winners:
Jazz Party Basket:  Erik Schmidt
A Taste of Italy Food Basket:  Terry Rowen
Children’s Gift Basket:  Pat Challener
Our good friend Nancy Tuller donated wonderful handmade hats, sweaters and quilts (for babies and for the holidays).  Some of these are still available. We also have bookmarks made by the children and adults of our community.
Thanks to all who made Frozendale such a success this year!  We made a total of $396 for the library.

Adult Program Recollection

Thanks for a successful 2015!

This year, our popular Adult Program series represented a cross-cultural blend that ranged
from a history of the Hudson River Valley to a day in the life of a “New Yorker” cartoonist.

Our non-profit Friends of the Rosendale Library group allows us to obtain speakers through the New York State Council for the Humanities, for public service programs and subjects that I choose for this unique community!  A recent donation to the Friends group, earmarked for these events, adds possibilities for the coming year, and a New York State grant received from New York State Sen. Bonacic provides funding for much-needed equipment. In addition, our wonderful volunteers, Tom O’Neill, Pete Palmer and Ed Redelberger have been invaluable and generous with their time.
Your support is appreciated, so keep your calendars open… next year is around the corner!
Programs are scheduled monthly from March-May and September –November.
