We've come a long way from since starting out as a Buyer's Club and thanks to our members' commitment and hard work we've been able to grow bigger and better! Finally all the hard work is paying off and our brand new look store will be launched on Friday September 18th to coincide with Culture Night 2015. Over the next few weeks we will need members to pitch in with our Launch Committee and have decided to dedicate the next members' meeting to this important upcoming event. Our September's Members' Meeting will be held on September 2nd at 7:30pm in the depot and we urge ALL members to attend. Please come and lend your support to this important day for The Urban Co-Op - Your Co-Op!

We would also like to ask any members that have a talent they would like to share on the day to get in touch. Whether it's singing, dancing, face painting, balloons, magic tricks or other entertainment please let us know if you are free to give your time and talent to help make this launch a great success. Others can get involved by helping with the Launch Committee or by being there on the day to supervise events and help out.

You can email your interest, talent, help or support to limerickcommunitygrocery@gmail.com and mark the subject as "Launch Committee ..."

Being Part of a Co-Op Means... Supporting Local Produce!

This week's Co-Operative Coffee Break fix is a clip from our member's video series "Being Part of a Co-Op Means..." and features Áine & Lorraine, both co-op members here at The Urban Co-Op in Limerick.

Our Co-Operative means many things to many people and for both Lorraine and Áine being part of the co-op is about supporting local businesses and local produce. It's also important for them to know where their food comes from.

If you'd like to see more videos from this series they can be found on our YouTube Channel.
