As always, we are here and want to wish you a Happy New Year as well as keep you up to date with everything happening at the WJCC! 


Here are some updates from us, as of September 25th, 2020:

 

WJCC STAFFING UPDATE:

WINDSOR JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTRE (WJCC)

The WJCC is open!!! (Reduced business hours)

The WJCC will be closed for the upcoming holidays:
Yom Kippur- Monday, September 28th 
Thanksgiving - Monday, October 12th 

The WJCC Parkette is open (and beautiful this time of year!!)
It's available to rent for socially distanced events.

I.L. PERETZ HOUSE  (ILPH)

The work on the ramp of the parking garage is now complete, and tenants can enjoy a safe / smooth ride in and out of the parking garage!

Thanks to Ontario Renovates for making this repair possible!

Read the latest resident news, sprinkled with fun comics, word searches, jokes, riddles and inspirational quotes!  
Call in with the answer to the riddle for your chance at a prize! 

WJCC CONNECTS
The WJCC is committed to keeping us connected, even though we have to be apart right now. 

Summer staff have gone back to school, but 'WJCC Connects' is continuing!  
 

Online Storytime
We’re looking for volunteers to help us continue our Online Storytime Series which was started by our (super-fantastic-awesome) summer 'WJCC Connects' staff who have now gone back to school.

We can do all the tech stuff... You just tell us when and where you're ready to read. We will bring the camera and the book from PJ Library (and of course we will practice social distancing). 
OR you can film yourself reading a book and send it to us! 
 

Connecting with BBYO Michigan
Follow WJCC on social media to get links and resources that will connect you with other Jewish teens in Windsor and Michigan. We will be connecting teens with virtual BBYO programming hosted by Jessica Robins.

*BBYO is a Jewish teen movement aspiring to involve Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences.

Recent events include: tie dye, women's entrepreneur 
 

Havdalah in the Parkette - Saturday, September 12th
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Havdalah in our WJCC Parkette.

Rosh Hashanah Brisket Meal - Friday, September 18th
We received over 170 orders!!!
Thank you to our local Jewish community...
and also thank you to our non-Jewish community who know a good meal and a good deal when they see it!
