National Latina Equal Pay Day was October 21. Because of the gender pay gap, Latinas were compensated just 57% of what non-Hispanic white men were paid in 2020. That means it takes Latina workers almost an entire extra year of full-time, year-round work to be paid the average annual earnings of white men. Learn more about AAUW's national Latina initiative by clicking here. Shown below is a Central Arkansas group led by Gloria Bastidas who met prior to the pandemic to discuss the special challenges facing equal pay for Hispanic women.

AAUW National's Employer Roundtable Series: Let's Talk about Fair Pay
Pay inequality thrives on silence—among legislators, leaders and even the employees most directly affected by it, who often have good reason for caution. That’s why we’re committed to creating safe opportunities for all of us to start talking. Our three-part webinar series, Equal Pay Every Day, focuses on employers in the New York area. It is designed to get employees, managers and senior leaders engaged in productive, solutions-focused conversations about pay equity.
Join us at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, as we engage a panel of managerial experts to share their insights, tips and success stories. Click here to register.
