Happy National Gardening Month!

Arbor Day Celebration!

Saturday, April 25th from 9am - 1pm

Join us for the upcoming Arbor Day Celebration at OKCG which will honor Earth Day and Arbor Day by planting trees in the Food Forest and getting the garden ready for spring! Water and snacks will be provided.

Workday generously sponsored by The Durango Rotary Club. Held at the Ohana Kuleana Community Garden, 564 E 30th St.

Build a School Garden at Miller Middle School

Friday, April 10th, 9 am - 4 pm

Help Miller get their new garden completed in time for Spring planting! Come anytime during the day. Contact Donna Chase if you're interested. Thank you!

2015 Gardening Workshop Series

The Ohana Kuleana Community Garden Workshop Series offers monthly classes throughout the gardening season. Workshops are offered generally every 2nd or 3rd Monday of the month..

Workshop topics include:
Growing Tomatoes in SW CO Mushroom Cultivation
Science of Cooking
Wild Wisdom of Weeds, and more

$15 per person per class or $80 for all 8 workshops ($100 value). Register in advance.

3rd Annual Spring Hoedown Fundraiser
with the Montezuma School to Farm Project!

Saturday April 11th from 5pm - 11pm at the Mancos Opera House

Season Extension Workshop at the Old Fort at Hesperus

Saturday, April 11th from 9 am - 2pm

Speakers will include NRCS personnel talking about the EQIP High Tunnel program along with local growers sharing their low tunnel growing tips. The program will include a hands-on component with growers showing you how to set up low tunnels in your gardens.  Cost of registration is $20 and includes all program materials and lunch from Zia’s. Space is limited. Register here.

Needham Garden Spring Clean Up

Sunday, April 12th 1 - 4pm

Help clean up the school garden this Spring! Everyone invited - this will be a fun day! Contact Beth Saren if you're interested!

Dirt Club After-School Program Registration

Dirt Club (gardening, cooking and art in the garden) at Needham, Riverview and Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary Schools is starting the last week of April through May. Register your child today!
We're looking for adult volunteers to help with Dirt Club. Contact Sandhya if you're interested in volunteering!

Jr. Gardener's Summer Camp now open for Registration!

Ages 6-11 during the month of July at the Needham Elementary School Garden. Four 1-week sessions available. Featuring special guest presenters every week. Registrations filling up fast!
