3 Ways to Spice Up Your Running Workout This Winter
By:  Pete Sherry

You have all the excuses in the world for skipping today's workout: It's cold and dark. Your training partners are taking the winter off. You don't swim, your bike is rusted and you can't stand to work out in a gym. But you're on a roll and you don't want to stop now; March – when it may be more appealing to run outside again – is still far away. So what do you do? If you want to add a little more love and kindness in your life, try out some of these random acts of kindness that are specific to runners:

1. Give out popsicles to runners at the end of a very hot race. (Or hot chocolate at the end of a cold one.) They’ll be incredibly grateful!

2. Let someone who looks like she “really needs to go” in front of you in the porta-potty line.  More kindness....
