Message from the Headteacher

It has been a good lead up to half term this week. Monday evening saw two Governors’ meetings, Steering Committee followed by Enrichment. Nationally, education is changing so quickly as is the local agenda but it is important that CNS maintains its ethos and values whilst using initiatives for the good of our students.

Wed 22nd Feb :"Wicked" rewards theatre trip.  Y12/Y13 trip to Tate Modern. Parents: Tuscany music tour parents evening, 6pm-7pm in the Arc. 
Thu 23rd Feb: Y9 assembly in the Arc 10am. Y9 Options Evening, 6pm-8pm in the Arc.

Winterton Quintet meet Chancellor of the Exchequer at No.11 Downing Street. 

   
Five sixth formers performed music as the Winterton Quintet at No.11 Downing Street on Tuesday evening. The students were invited as guests of Ormiston Academies Trust at an evening celebrating enrichment across the network.

Sixth form students wins OAT Einstein Award


   
Congratulations to CNS sixth former Kimberley Shone who has won the Ormiston Academies Trust Einstein Award. The award is for an exceptional student whose enthusiasm and determination has led to great success in a competition or subject area and achieved some outstanding results. She was nominated by Mrs.Woods, Curriculum Leader for Design and Technology at CNS.

CNS launches its own Park Run


CNS now has its very own park run at the school, every Tuesday from 3.25pm.  It's a free club available to all students of any ability. It's non-competitive as students run against the clock and set their own PBs.

Maths Challenge and Maths Feast

Well done to all the Y9-Y11 students who took part in last week's intermediate maths challenge and the Norfolk wide Maths Feast which was hosted at CNS on Thursday. 

CNS Chess Club win silver

Congratulations to the CNS Chess team who gained silver medals at the Norfolk Inter-Schools jamboree last weekend.
Eve, Hayden, Dhanush and Nathaniel came 2nd in the under-14 age group. The team was organised entirely by Hayden and CNS was the only academy/state school represented.  Photos to follow soon.

History Twitter Feed
