Storage ITN Progressing

The RCC will be bringing a new storage system online in Spring 2014. The initial deployment will include 480 TB of DDN WOS storage.

The system will provide general purpose storage for data, and will include a Dropbox-like interface for research data.

Big Data Research

In the era of big data, the dissemination and management of scientific information is becoming an increasing challenge for researchers.

Dr. Greg Riccardi and Florida State University's Institute for Digital Information and Scientific Communication (iDigInfo) are using the RCC's "SKY" Virtualization platform to build data management tools for several large research grants.
