2018 KIRA Award Winners
Hosted by Knowledge Park, with support from the Province of New Brunswick, Opportunities NB and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), the 2018 KIRAs on May 3rd marked 20 years of celebrating innovation in New Brunswick. The 2018 winners were:
  • Premier’s Award for Innovation: Treasury Board, Province of New Brunswick
  • Most Innovative Start-up: SomaDetect Inc.    
  • Most Innovative Product or Service: Blue Roof Distillers
  • Innovation Champion: BioNB
  • 20th Anniversary Honorary KIRA Award: KIRA Planning Committee Members (1998-2018)
  • KIRA People’s Choice: Family Medicine New Brunswick
After 20 years, the KIRA Awards are entering a new chapter. Largely driven by a volunteer organizing committee since its inception in 1998, the awards will now develop under the guidance and stewardship of an organization dedicated to the advancement of innovation. The New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF), the Presenting Sponsor of this Year’s KIRA Awards, will be the new host and organizer of the KIRA Awards!
