Ignite Fredericton, in collaboration with Opportunities New Brunswick, is undertaking a business retention and expansion project to identify key issues, challenges and opportunities related to business growth and expansion in the Fredericton Region.

This is your opportunity to help shape economic development initiatives and services that will be employed to foster individual business and community prosperity. Please watch for the survey from MQO Research.  600 regional companies will receive an online survey, which will only take 10 minutes to complete, and qualifies the respondent to win an iPad Air!

This project comprises two phases:
Phase 1 Online 10 minute survey of 600 regional businesses; and
Phase 2 In-depth/In-person interviews with 50 regional businesses.

If you receive a survey request, we really appreciate your input as it allows us to gauge the community’s business pulse so that we are sure to be offering the right support at the right time. As the community’s economic development organization - driving business and population growth - we need your feedback!

Express Entry: A Tool for Employers
This program was designed to meet the needs of employers, immigrants, and the general community, here’s why:
  • We need temporary foreign workers to fill labour shortages, or companies/organizations will be forced to close, causing a loss of Canadian jobs.
  • This program fills those shortages with more qualified workers, faster than before.
  • The scoring process ensures that those who are best suited to work in Canada and adapt to Canadian culture are invited, preventing immigrants from being invited who may not be well suited for living here and preventing backlogs as only those who score well are invited to continue with the process.
  • The reduction in time will ensure that we can keep pace with other countries so that immigrants will choose Canada and contribute to our economy.
