EU Members States, regions, cities, communities and housing providers increasingly face a growing demand for affordable homes and the need to adapt existing stock to changing social and environmental needs.
What needs to be done to direct finance towards this vital infrastructure sustainably?
On 5th of November, Housing Europe & Finance Watch are bringing together financial institutions, policy makers, practitioners and academics to kick off a mobilisation to concretely address this question. The conference will deliver answers via new proposals and existing housing finance instruments. Based on experiences from around the EU, the roles of the market and regulation will be discussed.
Finally, Members of the European Parliament and Housing stakeholders, will evaluate the role of the EU in the housing debate and take stock of the impact of EU policies on an issue which is by nature local.
