Dear Housing Europe Members,
We are only two weeks away from the 2015 General Assembly, our 2-day annual meet up that will take place in Lisbon this year, so we reach out to you to share the final dossier as well as some last minute information. We would like to kindly ask to take a moment to read through this e-mail, choose the meeting you’d wish to attend and download the documents you may need during your stay in Lisbon.
Are you planning to take part in the GA and have not registered yet? Then please go first in the end of this e-mail to complete your registration procedure!

Let us now guide you through the different sections of the schedule by attracting your attention to a few points.
Day 1 – July 1st 2015
Dutch Case, Cooperation in Research & Networking Dinner
On Wednesday, July 1st we’ve thought to kick off our meet up with a technical meeting dedicated to the so called “Dutch Case” and the potential impact of the European Court’s ruling to our sector at EU level. We invite you to take part in the meeting to hear from our Dutch colleagues what this decision practically means and to exchange with fellow members what should the next steps Housing Europe should take.

19:00-late in the evening
Just after this technical meeting we would strongly encourage you to indeed “Meet the Housing Researchers”. For one hour you will have the opportunity to discuss with esteemed housing researchers about the role of the European Network for Housing Research (ENHR), to explore the potential of project cooperation and to share research and general future challenges for your organisations.
Once the meeting is over, we will all go by bus to a traditional Portuguese restaurant for a networking dinner. Please just go directly to the ISCTE-IUL entrance (the meeting venue), so that we can depart as soon as possible. It is important to register for the dinner in the registration form, as reservation will be made based on the number of participants.
Day 2 – July 2nd 2015
Thematic Discussions & Statutory Meeting
The second day is dedicated to internal meetings which will commence with Housing Europe members split in two groups for two thematic discussions with ENHR experts.
Please make your choice and help us shape both groups over the dinner on Wednesday evening by adding your name to the respective list that will be provided to you on the spot.
To help you decide we have interviewed both professors. You may already read our discussion with Maarten Van Ham on our website. Our interview with Mark Stephens will be available within next week.

GA Statutory Meeting

The “main course” of 2-day schedule will be “served” from 11:30 onwards with the statutory meeting as every year. This time additionally to all standard procedures related to approval of financial accounts, the highlights of the GA will be:
  • Proposal of the election committee regarding 3 of the Board Members whose term has been concluded
  • Admission of  new member from Albania
  • Special focus on Housing Europe internal and external communication and
  • Information on the Working Committee activities

Finally, just let us share with an interesting suggestion Joao has made for all of you who will be staying in Lisbon in the evening of July 2nd. You may enjoy local cuisine at a restaurant listening to Fado singers to get a better feeling of typical Portuguese nightlife, too.
This dinner will be on your own expenses and reservation can only be made if there is a minimum number of 30 participants, so please express your interest by filling in this form.
