Achieving Whole Health

Asian Women for Health is proud to announce that the first class has graduated from its Achieving Whole Health program! Achieving Whole Health offers a safe and supportive environment for young Asian American women who are overwhelmed by parental and societal pressures to be the "model minority". Thanks to our sponsor, Boston Children's Hospital, these young women are able to build coping skills, set goals, and become strong role models in their community.

A conference to engage, educate and encourage participants to use technology to improve health and health care delivery for Asian women and the community at large through cross-sector collaborations.
Mammogram at Age 40

Recent studies suggest that women should start getting their annual mammogram (breast cancer risk assessment) at the age of 40 instead of age 45 or 50 advised in guidelines. A review of women between the ages of 40 and 44 found that half of those women were at risk for breast cancer.
