"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee."
Isaiah 26:3

By: Deyvy Rodriguez

There is so much turmoil in the world today. Overnight, people are losing their jobs, their investments, their trust in one another. The world has come to a halt. Life has changed drastically. Many are like sheep without a shepherd, fearfully running to and fro searching for safety and security. Many testify they have never witnessed anything like this before. The world is in need of peace—
God's peace.
Christ came to give us this peace—a peace that the world cannot give, a peace that the world cannot understand. If you are afraid, don't be. He holds you in His hands. He will sustain you in your trials. He will provide your needs. Isaiah 26:3 says that God will keep you in His perfect peace. What is that perfect peace? The Prince of Peace—Christ Jesus. "Don't fear, little ones," He says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27. God loves you. He will never forsake you.

In his well-known painting, Peace in the Midst of the Storm, Jack E. Dawson paints a frightening storm with dark clouds, lightning, and heavy waters falling down the edge of a cliff.
"Peace in the Midst of the Storm" by Jack E. Dawson
There are several hidden pictures in this painting, but the focal point is on a little dove calmly and safely resting in its nest in the midst of this crashing waterfall.
This little dove represents us in our homes when we rest on Christ during difficult times. Yes, we can be at peace in the midst of the storm. At the top of the cliff, there is Christ the Rock standing strong though the winds and the waters rage.
If you observe carefully, at the other side of the cliff there is a scary looking creature—representing our adversary, the one who wants to take away that peace which Christ give us.
But once again, if you look carefully you will see a cross on the adversary, representing the power of Christ, because He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world.
Don't let the enemy rob you of God's peace. May your mind be stayed on Him so that he can keep you in His perfect peace.
