"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee."
By: Deyvy Rodriguez
There is so much turmoil in the world today. Overnight, people are losing their jobs, their investments, their trust in one another. The world has come to a halt. Life has changed drastically. Many are like sheep without a shepherd, fearfully running to and fro searching for safety and security. Many testify they have never witnessed anything like this before. The world is in need of peace—God's peace.
Christ came to give us this peace—a peace that the world cannot give, a peace that the world cannot understand. If you are afraid, don't be. He holds you in His hands. He will sustain you in your trials. He will provide your needs. Isaiah 26:3 says that God will keep you in His perfect peace. What is that perfect peace? The Prince of Peace—Christ Jesus. "Don't fear, little ones," He says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27. God loves you. He will never forsake you.
In his well-known painting, Peace in the Midst of the Storm, Jack E. Dawson paints a frightening storm with dark clouds, lightning, and heavy waters falling down the edge of a cliff.
