How to Save Energy in Your Community Building
If you run, lease or own a community building like a scout hut, village hall, community association building, or even a local church, you’re probably thinking about the rising cost of energy bills and how this is going to impact how your building is used.

Consultations

The Energy Bill Relief Scheme: Capturing the Needs of Charities
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has issued a survey to find out what businesses need in terms of further support beyond the Energy Bill Relief Scheme announced so far. Infrastructure charities in the Civil Society Group would like to ensure charities are well-represented in this survey, so that the government understands the distinct needs of charities - for example that costs cannot be passed on to beneficiaries in the way a private business could pass on rising costs to consumers. If you run a charity, please read this really helpful guidance from Charity Finance Group before completing the BEIS survey.

Survey: New ‘People’s Panel’ for West Yorkshire
Together with your  local Healthwatch, the Partnership  are developing a "people's panel" for West Yorkshire that will feed directly into decisions made about local health and care by the new NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. Anyone interested in helping to shape the panel is being invited to take part in a survey and share their thoughts and ideas, including what the panel will be called and how people could be supported to get involved.

Calderdale Council: Climate Action Plan Consultation
Throughout 2022, we have been preparing Calderdale’s Climate Action Plan. We now have a consultation plan we’re proud of and we are looking for comments from key organisations and people across Calderdale.  The plan is divided into six key themes and we have spent a lot of time making sure the plan is accessible and is clear on the positives – both big and small –  of tackling Climate Change.

Social Value - Lever for Change or Lost Opportunity? - 29th *November*
Social Value UK is working with colleagues from across civil society to host this conversation about what social value means to us right now. Is it still the lever for change that many of us hoped it would be - or has that moment passed? We want this event to offer an opportunity for us all to come together, reflect & learn - and remember what connects us in this space. If ever there was a time for civil society to collectivise around our shared goals it is now…
