Calderdale Adult Learning: Art Competition
To celebrate how art can boost wellbeing, Calderdale Adult Learning are holding an art competition based around the theme of 'Platinum Jubilee'. Closes 6th June.

Entry open to all Calderdale residents. Please email a photograph of your artwork to with your name, postcode and telephone number. If you are unable to access email please call 01422 392820 to arrange another option.


Request for Insight: Mental Health, Neurodiversity, Autism and Learning Disabilities.
NHS Calderdale CCG is undertaking a mapping exercise to understand what insight we have of peoples experiences of services that provide support around mental health, neurodiversity, autism and learning disabilities. This includes services provided by the NHS, other health providers and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations. 

If you have collected any insight, or are aware of any engagement / consultation activity that has taken place or reports developed across Calderdale about these services, please could you share this with by Monday 30 May. Please pass this request on to any other organisations that you think may have insight to share.

NHS England: Working in Partnership with People and Communities:
Summary of Draft Guidance

All of the feedback is important and will be used to shape the final version of the guidance. Your responses to this survey will be anonymous. The consultation survey results and how NHS England have considered them will be collated into a report that will be published on their website. The feedback is collated in a way that is non-identifiable.

Experiences of CWP Children's Wellbeing Practitioner and EMHPs Educational Mental Health Practitioner
NHS England & Improvement (NHSEI), and Health Education England (HEE) are interested in better understanding the experiences of people who’ve participated in CWP Children's Wellbeing Practitioner and EMHP Educational Mental Health Practitioner training and roles, whether they’re qualified and currently working in the roles or they’ve qualified.

WYCA: Multiply Numeracy Skills Survey
We want to hear your views and experiences as a local business. We need to understand:
 - What numeracy skills your business requires
 - Where any skills gaps are currently, and
 - What support you would like to be provided to help fill these gaps

Cranfield Trust: Apprenticeships for Unlocking Future Charity Talent -
9th June

Join us on Thursday 9 June at 10.00 am for our latest free 1-hour charity webinar: Apprenticeships for unlocking future talent.

Pensioner Fair - June 10th
The aim of the event is to demonstrate to the wider community what there is out there for the older age group to enjoy and introduce companies and organisations like yourselves who might be able to offer a service that the older age groups can benefit from. 

Get Started In Health And Social Care Leeds & Wakefield - 16th June 
This is a 5-day programme currently run online using Teams. We are partnered with different employers in the Leeds & Wakefield area who have roles available supporting the elderly or supporting those with additional needs, which could be in a care home or supporting them within their own home. Or could be supporting people within their own home or supporting vulnerable people .This programme gives a fantastic opportunity to learn more about what it’s like to work in health & social care with the opportunity to then go for an interview for the live roles that are available. There could be part-time of full-time roles available, and the roles would involve shift work which could be days, nights or weekends and would be 12 hour shifts for example from 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am.

Small Charity Big Space - A Free online event for Small Charities Week
 - 21st June
Community spaces are often at the heart of their community providing places to meet and activities to engage the people in the locality. The last year has been difficult and the future, whilst bright, is uncertain. This is an opportunity to pause and consider how to be in a strong place to move forwards for the future.

WY Health Inequalities Academy, One Year On - 21st - 22 June 
This virtual event celebrating the anniversary of the Launch of our Health Inequalities Academy will bring partners together to explore our progress to date, share learning, and outline our continued approach toward closing the health and wellbeing gap across West Yorkshire.

Free Suicide Prevention Training
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are delighted to announce that they are offering free SafeTALK suicide prevention training from a range of Fire Stations across West Yorkshire. The Rescue service aim to train colleagues from across health, care, criminal justice, the voluntary sector and other public services alongside fire and rescue staff in West Yorkshire.

Annapurna Indian Dance are celebrating Platinum Jubilee with several cultural events with dance and music  across Calderdale to mark  70 years since Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth ascended the throne.

Apply to be a Co-op Local Community Fund Cause - *Closing Sunday*
Our friends at Co-op are inviting local groups that benefit communities to apply to be a Co-op Local Community Fund cause. Successful applicants will partner with Co-op for 12 months and you’ll receive a minimum of £1,000 to support your project. 

The Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund - Closing 10th June
The Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund allows voluntary, community groups, charities and partners to apply for funding. The fund is looking to provide support to innovative projects which address at least one of the cross-cutting themes, and one of the priorities within the Police and Crime Plan 2021-24.

Community Active Travel Hubs - Closing 15th July 
The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is offering grants of up to £50,000 to support organisations to become a hub for active travel engagement work, to help more people to walk, cycle, scoot, and wheel for leisure and recreation, for health, and to make more journeys, actively, more often. 

Charity Bank: Green Loan Offers in Response to Climate Crisis 
In support of our commitment to climate change Charity Bank has recently launched two green loan offers rewarding charities and social enterprises for using loan finance to buy or build an energy-efficient building or to improve the energy efficiency of their existing property.

The Women & Girls Match Fund
The Women and Girl’s Match Fund - Womens and Girls Match Fund ( is funding to support charities working to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls in England and Scotland throughout 2022.


Calderdale Staying Safe: Independent Domestic Violence Advisor - Closing 30th May
The role involves providing a specialist, pro-active and a risk led response to all male victims of domestic abuse. The support will reflect individual risks and needs, enabling male victims to build confidence and make informed decisions about their future. The work will require partnership working and excellent communication skills.

Responsible to: Head of Operations and Head of Communities
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000
To operationally manage the various Gathering Place functions including the oversight and delivery of support services.

Salary: £22,750
We are looking for a Food Manager to ensure that there is sufficient food secured within the charity.

Job hours: 30 hours per week 
Responsible to:  Head of Funding
Salary: £22,000
This will be a wide-ranging role with significant opportunities working closely with the Head of Funding to research potential funders whether individuals, grant-giving bodies, corporates, or other organisations.

Halifax Opportunities Trust: FAMILY OUTREACH WORKER -
Closing 10th June

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic team member, committed to supporting vulnerable and excluded families. Working directly with parents, carers and their children you will introduce and encourage new families to engage with the service, supporting them in groups and on a 1-1 basis to improve the quality of their lives and opportunities.

Calderdale Council: Project Support Officer (Voluntary Sector) - Closing 12th June
We are ideally looking for someone with good knowledge of the voluntary and community sector and grant funding policy and processes. You will have strong administration skills and attention to detail, with good numeracy, written and digital/IT skills You will also be a good communicator, able to listen and explain information to different stakeholders/audiences both inside and outside the Council. Most importantly you will have a passion to help support communities as part of our vison for 2024 and keen to learn and use your skills to work within a wider team to support our partnership with the VCSE sector.

Women Centre: Greener Together Project Worker - Closing 13th June
24 hours a week Scale 6 points 18- £24,982 (Pro rata)
6-month Fixed Term Contract, with a Calderdale base.
WomenCentre’s role will be to support women to consider ‘greener approaches’ in their lives wherever possible.

Brunswick Centre: Service Coordinator - Closing 20th June
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Coordinator within the Brunswick Centre. You will work with a team taking a leading role in the delivery of support services across Kirklees and Calderdale for people with HIV, challenging stigma and improving outcomes.

Women Centre: Liaison and Diversion (Calderdale) - Closing 27th June
1 x 37 Hour post until March 31st 2025
SCALE 18 – 22 (£24,982 to £27,041 per annum)
