All Saints Sunday 

Sermon: Inheritance Among the Saints

Scripture: Ephesians 1:11-23
Scripture to reflect upon:  "God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins." Acts 5:31

First Thursday

Tomorrow (11/7) is the first Thursday of the month which means the Mobile Food Pantry will serve from 11 a.m. to noon at the Lexington Park.  We also have lunch served here from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  If you can help out with either, please come on 30 minutes before.

5th Annual Veteran's Day Dinner

Sunday, November 10th at 5 p.m.  All Veterans and Active Duty are welcome to join us for a wonderful dinner celebrating 100 years of the American Legion (and 100 years of the American Legion Post No. 6!).  Please RSVP to Holly Newton at 979-571-6934.

Veteran's Day Program

There will be a community wide Veteran's Day Program hosted by LHS Student Council on Monday, November 11th at 10:00 am in the LHS Gym. 
 

Life Support Meeting

Are you in a struggle?  There is a Christ-centered 12-step program on Tuesdays 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Post.  Those struggling with addictions, relationships, depression, anxiety, fear are welcome to join the anonymous group.

Sunday School

Please come and share learning and exploring how special it is to be God's kids through our "Deep Blue" series of Sunday school  lessons.  We'll draw nearer to God through the love of His Son Jesus Christ in our large group intro of prayer, Bible  story and lesson, and music;
and then, divide into two age groups to enjoy snack, Bible verse study, activity and craft time. We begin at 9:45am, and conclude at 10:45am.  We teachers-Jan Alexander, Jan Lynn, Jennifer Marek, and Trudy Doerfler look forward to seeing you all there!

Flower Calendar

Exercise Classes

Sarah Spivey will be leading a yoga class on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center.  All skill levels are welcome.  There is no charge for the class.

There is also a "sit and be fit" class Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the Family Life Center.

All Saints Service

We will celebrate those that passed away this year on Sunday, November 10th during both services.  If you would like to add someone to the list of those we remember, please reply to this email or let Pastor Raegan know.

Fall Bible Study

Join us for a study on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center.  The study is on the gospel of Matthew.  Everyone is invited to join!

Casserole Orders

Pick up is available Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to noon and on Saturday, November 23rd 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Want to help cook?  We will be in the Family Life Center beginning at 9 a.m. making casseroles on November 5th and 12th. No experience necessary!

Children's Christmas Program

The Christmas Program will be Sunday, December 15th at 6 p.m.  All kids (toddlers to teens) are invited to be a part of this annual tradition.  Please let Jennifer Marek know if you would like to be in the program.  Practices are held on Sunday’s during Sunday School (9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.).

Visioning Workshop

Join us Saturday, November 9th at 10:30 am for our Vision Workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to dream of how God might work through the congregation both individually and collectively to reach the local mission field by clarifying congregational identity and purpose. Lunch and childcare will be provided. We will also meet at 9:30am before the workshop to have a pray walk through the community. We hope you will join us for this very important event.
 

M&Ms

M&Ms choir practices after M&M from 5:00 – 5:15. Practice will continue through October and November.  More information will be provided to the children that are participating.
 
Please click here to get kids registered for M&Ms. Helpers are always needed.  Please come out and help if you can beginning at 3 p.m.

LUMC Youth

We have a split Youth. 1 will be from 3:30 to 5 (geared toward Middle School but High School is certainly invited) and 6 to 7 (flipped - geared for HS but MS is invited).  If you feel led to helping with, or leading, either group, please let Stephanie know (or reply to this email).

Worship Services

Lexington United Methodist Church offers two services on Sunday mornings.  Our 10 a.m. contemporary service includes praise songs, scripture and a sermon and is held in the Family Life Center.  Our 11 a.m. traditional service includes traditional hymns, scripture and sermon and is held in the Sanctuary.
