March 2023
Club Meetings: 2nd Wednesday of the month Sept - May; 7 PM at the Beehive.  A great way to get involved - all are welcome.
It is great that Mother Nature has blessed us with snow and cold.  A review of the week and beyond is looking good!  It is March and the sun is closer and we can lose this new base quickly.  You should take advantage of these conditions now before it is gone.  I just rode over the mountain trial and the Boyz are doing a great job. Get out there before it is gone.  Loved seeing riders at our Veterans Ride In honor of Robert Campo Senior.  At 97 years old, a true hero! Thank you all who supported this great event.

President's  Message

It's snowing; trails are good; my sled has a new top end (thank you Polaris);  we got a new drag; and another successful Ride in event is in the books  What else can I say - it's been a pretty few weeks! Hopefully, the weather continues to act like winter and we can have a great month of riding in March.

Membership

This season started slow but boy March is coming in like a snow lion!  TMA sales are still trickling in and we appreciate every TMA purchase.  Keep a lookout for more volunteer spotlights.  We have 4 on deck ready to be posted.  Some amazing stories and lifetime volunteers tell their history with the SnoBees.

If you’re out and about, check out our sponsor board located at VAST trail 302 at junction WN-94. Lighting has been added this year and it’s nearly full. So cool.  Our sponsors are a huge part of the Village it takes to make this all work. THANK YOU to our sponsors!!

Please stop by, take a look and support those businesses who support snowmobiling in VT.  Let’s give them a return on their participation!  Happy Trails.

Please consider choosing Sno-Bees of Barre when purchasing your TMA. Follow us on Facebook:  Sno-Bees Snowmobiles Club of Barre and visit our website www.snobees.com. Share with friends and family.

Volunteer Spotlight

Member volunteerism is part of what makes SnoBees, or any club, successful. Each week during the month of the month of February and into March, we're going to highlight one of our many volunteers that work to make our club great.

Our most recent spotlight is current Sno-Bee President, Steve Avery. Go to our website to check out all spotlights, including Steve's.

2023 Ride In for Veterans

The 2023 Ride in for Veteran's was a huge success. Thanks to the great turnout and donations, we were able to double last years donation to the VFW Post 790 and write a check for $ 2,000! Special thanks to Campo di Vino for providing the time honored traditional Barre meal - Chicken and Mostaciolli! Thank you VFW for all you do to assist our local veterans. Check out some additional pictures from the event here on our website. https://snobees.com/2023-ride-in-notes-and-pictures

Trail Support Signboard
The signboard is always a popular spot; but BuzzBee certainly helps. Owen and Steven stopped by this week to visit with him. Consider making the Sno-Bees signboard a stop on your next trip, and take some time to check out all of our great business sponsors. Shop local - our local business do so much to support clubs like ours and others around the state .

We still have room !  Click here to learn how to reserve your space!

Trails

Finally, we got some snow to groom and we are took delivery of our new Mogul Master drag!  This will allow us to have great trails while conditions are good.  As things get warmer as it is March, please watch out for wet areas that open up.  Please be careful out there when you ride.  You can go to the VAST website and check conditions of our trails.  We update trail conditions frequently.  You can also check out our Sno-Bees Facebook page for more information as well. As a reminder, we have heard from VAST that law enforcement will not be giving warnings for those who do not have a TMA or a non-insured or registered sled.  They especially will ticket those who have aftermarket exhaust pipes. I want to extend a special thanks to Jim “Yamaha Rules” Bernier for all his support for me this year.  He has spent many hours with me in the groomer and his unwavering support has been greatly appreciated.

In closing, for those that are planning their estates now or in the future, please consider including Sno-Bees in the mix if you are looking to leave some of your assets for the community. Please mention this to your friends and family if they are in this process as well. If there are questions on how to do this, feel free to reach out to me. Thank you!
