Paul Contino | Photographs

A scene from VISA Pour l’Image, an annual celebration of photojournalism held in Perpignan, a small town in southern France a couple of hours’ journey from Barcelona. This was back in October of 2009. I’ve been going through some archives, reminiscing of past travels and experiences and photographs taken.

First off, let me say “hello!” to everyone. I’ve been meaning to create some type of newsletter to send out centering around photography, as I’m still consistently taking photos. I wanted to be a bit more proactive in my sharing of the images I am making. And to offer the opportunity for those interested to acquire photographs to display in their homes, purchase as gifts for others, or to just have a physical piece of my work.

Second, quick update: I am presently on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. I’ll be here through around Thanksgiving, and then heading back to the mainland to spend time with family. And then … hopefully have a full time job lined up for the new year (I left my job in July of last year for some time off and have been exploring America’s National Parks and visiting family and friends along the way).

Third, I’m testing out an online shop for prints. The two below are photographs that only those with this email can access. If you’d like to help me out by purchasing one - or even just going through the process and leaving feedback on the selection/purchase experience - I’d be grateful. They are formatted as 5x7” prints, and would look great in a matted frame. No pressure though :)

What I’m watching: Ella Fitzgerald: Just one of Those Things on Netflix
What I’m listening to: Astrud Gilberto on Spotify

That’s what I’ve got for now. There are links below to my website and my instagram to peruse and/or pass along. And feel free to send an email my way any time.

Hope you all are well!
