Prayer and Fasting Update #2

Dear friends and family,
We are almost at the end of our 40 days of prayer and fasting and I wanted to give a quick update. I want to thank everyone for joining us. whether it was in prayer, fasting or both.  We have had such a wonderful response from all over the world...Kenya, Canada, Nepal, US, Honduras, UK, China and Kyrzbekistan! We have truly felt God's hand upon our lives and our ministry. We pray you have felt the same and we continue to pray for a strong finish.

Update on Prayer Requests:
  • We continue to pray and fast against the stronghold of addiction in Joel's immediate family. There continues to be evidence of pride, denial and projection. We pray for a spiritual breakthrough with healing and restoration.
  • We continue to pray for the deceased motorcycle driver's family. We are reaching out to his family but it is difficult. We did find out that they are not Christian, that he left behind a wife and two children. We also found out in addition to him drinking he had just purchased the motorcycle the day before. We pray for his salvation and the salvation of his family.
  • We continue to pray for our driver as he is still dealing with some legal issues regarding the accident
  • We continue to pray for our long term visa. The business visa remains extremely difficult to get. However, Kathmandu University School of Art has an opportunity for us to get a five year study visa and incorporate art therapy at Vision Rehab Center.
Praise Report:
  • Praise that we have started phase 1 Orientation classes at Vision Rehab Center. We had our first Gratitude class and will be having our first Socio-Gram this week.
  • Praise we had our first monthly "Friends of Vision" open house where we invite the public to come and visit. We have praise and worship, testimonies and a free dinner.
  • Praise we launched our first radio advertisement on GoodNews FM (a christian radio station here in Kathmandu).
  • Praise as we have moved into the apartment that we are blessed to be house sitting while the owners are away in the US having a baby.
  • Praise for Caroline being the cutest blonde four and a half year old in Nepal.
  • Praise for Christopher being the cutest redheaded one year old in Nepal.
Many many blessings to you,
Joel, Tara, Caroline and Christopher
