SRF News

Summer issue of the SRF magazine is just out

Members will have received their copy of our latest magazine - which has a new name (the Forum), a simpler design and different content.  Please let us know what you think!  We are trying to give you more information about our activities and to find topics you are interested in - so the more feedback we get the more relevant it will be in future.
As before the magazine is also available online - and we are keen to know if members would prefer to receive it in that form.  Please let us know about that.
The next issue of the magazine will be early 2017 and we are looking for for a new editor and reviews editor.  Please contact us if you are interested in either position, however tentatively.  Both are voluntary of course.

Membership subscriptions due soon

If you are already a member of the SRF - thank you and we hope you will continue to support us.  Note that our bank details have changed so if you pay by Standing Order / direct transfer please notify your bank.  You will receive full details with the magazine and in an email during August.
If not - please consider joining.  As an independent organisation, useless at fundraising, we rely on subscriptions to pay our modest running costs - rent, events, the magazine, office expenses and so forth.  We are all volunteers so no salaries.  Subscriptions are only £25/year (£10 for students, the disabled and people living >75m from Edinburgh).  Details on request or see www.scotlandrussiaforum.org/support.html.

Edinburgh Festivals

There are a lot of interesting events from Russia and her neighbours this year, so if you haven't done so already please look at our Festival listings.  Please tell us if we've left anything out.

Chai n Chat
Our conversation group is taking a break in August but will be back on Thursday 8 Sept, 11 am in the Summerhall Cafe as usual.  Russian and English chatters very welcome, new faces and old.  Details: www.scotlandrussiaforum.org/social.html

What's On

A listing of events from or about Russia and her neighbours.
