Klingner Acquires Schrader & Associates
An Outstanding Legacy Is Carried On Through Klingner Professional Services
|
|
The most recent Galesburg Chamber of Commerce's
Business After Hours, was hosted by the
Galesburg Branch of Klingner & Associates (Klingner).
At that well-attended event, Klingner and Schrader & Associates made the historic announcement that Klingner purchased the land surveying and civil engineering firm of Kenneth E. Schrader & Associates, LTD (Schrader). Klingner will now continue to assist those clients of
Schrader, conveniently from the local Klingner branch office in Galesburg. Schrader selected Klingner, among many
firms, to continue their mission in providing quality
professional services to their current clientele.
In 2004, Klingner announced its merger and expansion into Galesburg, IL through reorganization with Metzger Johnson Architects (also located and merged in Burlington, IA). Since then, along with Metzger Johnson's excellent reputation,
since 1984, in providing architectural design in the specialized fields of education, health and civic associations, with an emphasis on historical preservation/renovation, Klingner has been providing services to the Galesburg area in: civil, environmental and geotechnical engineering and construction material testing services, architecture and interior design services and land surveying and various inspection services. This merging of talent created an opportunity to provide assistance to a wide-range of clients. In 2014, Metzger Johnson Founders, David Metzger and Robert Johnson retired after many years of quality, dedicated services which produced award-winning projects. Due to that transition, Klingner Architects and Metzger Johnson Architects, came together to become Klingner Architectural Group.
Firm-wide, Klingner offers services that include: civil, environmental, mechanical/electrical, transportation, structural, water resources and water/wastewater engineering; architecture, landscape architecture and recreational design, interior design, planning; land surveying, 3D scanning services; geotechnical engineering and construction material testing services. These professional services are provided to anticipate and meet the needs of individuals, industrial and commercial businesses, municipalities, and governmental agencies. Klingner has built their Firm on a solid foundation of experience, team effort and dedication in order to meet the needs of their clients and produce award-winning results.
Today, Klingner is proud to celebrate 110 years of quality, professional services and are honored to have been chosen by Mr. Schrader to carry out his level of excellence in customer service to all of his existing clients. Schrader was an outstanding firm, with a 55 year history in providing professional services of quality and integrity, in land surveying and civil engineering throughout the Galesburg and western Illinois area.

Klingner Invited To Present
at International Atomic Energy Agency
Mike Klingner was invited to be a presenter at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) workshop for “Decision Makers on Flood Management and Mitigation, held at the Argonne National Laboratory during the first week of September 2015.
His presentation focused on “Flood Management and Agriculture in the Mid-Western United States”, and representatives from ten different Asian countries were in attendance. As the Midwest is known throughout the world for its productive agriculture and flood management issues, there is a lot of international interest in the United States agriculture. Mike was one of seven presenters during the three day workshop.
