These demands have been sent to every Federal politician.  We understand a response will be provided by the Minister for Tertiary Education.  WAVE is also campaigning with Women's Electoral Lobby (WEL) and A Fair Deal for Women around their election demands.

The National Federation for Australian Women (NFAW) has released a comparative analysis of the policies of the major parties relating to women in the workforce and workforce attachment to help women make a well-informed decision in the 2013 election. A copy of the Workforce attachment policies can be found here.

The review outlines the policy differentiation across a range of portfolios of the Labor, Coalition and where possible, the Australian Greens.

It compares and contrasts the different policies on the issues of:

·      Child Care
·      Baby Bonus
·      Workplace Flexibility
·      Employment Protection
·      Breastfeeding
·      Pregnancy Discrimination
·      Equal Opportunity
·      Equal Pay
·      Women in Leadership
